Wow! Welcome to my blog! Hello blog, how're you?
I'll be using this space as a log for ongoing work. It's probably going to be pretty unpopulated for a while; I'm in the research and skill-acquirement phase of creation. I'm working on an album, a game, learning an AI animation software for said game, and also learning Python3 to code RaspberryPis for my future projects. I don't own a RaspberryPi. I do 'own' a free copy of GarageBand, so I plan to have the album done before summer ends. It may be more of an EP than an LP. And a music video. Oh, I'm getting carried away.
The premise of the album is collaborative spoken-word poetry and automatic writings accompanied by ambient or nonambient tracks. This is because I can't sing and don't know shit about music theory. It's also because I really love music and writing. My collaborator, Beck, and I both have writings that verge between letters, abstract prose, and poetry. It's an exciting time, if not for the slight Scientology issue. One of my favourite pieces was written when I was very sickly with glandular fever, which makes me feel like a medieval peasant babbling with religious visions due to feverish mania. We're hoping to entice in a third collaborator but that RSVP is pending.
The game is the development of what can be seen in the WHYB demo, which functioned as a litmus test of my ability to 'game dev'. I can game dev, yee haw, so I'll be taking on a larger sum of work to produce a full version. First taking videos of various scenes and objects, then using AI animation software combined with good old fashion regular animation software, will hopefully produce a more dynamic and immersive experience. I can see how I will hate this in the future due to the added complexity I'm gifting future Tara but I'm sure she'll get over it.
Well, that's all for now.
Byebye,
Tara
